Hi, my name is Nic Shaw.
I decided to train to become a Personal Trainer, when 7 years ago I had chronic pain in my back, neck and shoulders, which caused me to have 3 months off work. Through a sport therapist, that I was seeing to help control the pain, he told me that he was also a Personal Trainer. I asked him to help rehabilitate me back to fitness through weekly personal training. I was hooked. I was able to control the pain I was experiencing on a daily basis through exercise and I found that I loved the feeling and confidence exercise gave me. I knew then that I needed to change my life.
I changed from being an Assistant Head Teacher to a part time music teacher to allow me time to study to become a Personal Trainer.
I have now been qualified for over 6 years and I have thoroughly enjoyed training a variety of clients for strength, toning and weight loss goals through individual PT sessions, paired training and small group classes including my 3xweekly Bootcamp classes and my early morning Fighting Fit boxing classes.
Not only am I a Personal Trainer, I am also a Nutrional Advisor and love being able to help advise clients on how they can tweak their diet to gain optimal health and well-being, not just throughout their training with me but for their future aswell.

pre and post-natal exercise planning
women health and nutrition
advanced nutrition for physical performance and weight loss
I am also a clinical weight loss practitioner.
